Manhas lashes out
North Zone skipper Mithun Manhas lashed out at the scheduling. We played a tough match against Central Zone yesterday and didnt get any time to recover or regroup. Playing back-to-back matches in this heat is a tough ask. They have kept an off day tomorrow. They could have easily slotted our second match on Sunday, Manhas said. West,Central,East and Zimbabwe all are getting a day off after their openers. Only we and South are made to play back-to-back matches, he added.
Meanwhile,Virat Kohli was fined 50 per cent of his match fees while Aakash Chopra was docked 20 per cent by match referee Hemant Wasu.
