Chitrangda turns singer with Yeh Saali Zindagi

Chitrangda Singh,who was last seen in Onirs Sorry Bhai in 2008,has hummed two lines of the title-track of Sudhir Mishras forthcoming film Yeh Saali Zindagi that is set to release on February 4.

The actor has lent her voice for two lines of a song in Sudhir Mishras forthcoming film. The actor made this revelation at the movies music launch last week.

This is the first time that the actor is crooning a song and sharing screen space with Irrfan. She admits that her debut as a singer is in conjunction with her role in the film. She says,I am playing the role of an ambitious,small-town girl called Priti. She comes to a big city to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. The movie also focusses on her confused love life.

She adds,I have just given my voice to two of the lines of a song. I think that is enough. I have no plans of becoming a singer or doing something like this again. With this,the actress joins the list of other celebrities who have lent their voice in their films recently,like Mallika Sherawat in Hissss,Neha Dhupia in Phas Gaye Re Obama or Juhi Chawla in Bhoothnath.

The actress further adds that she likes this character and the way she discovers herself in love. Ask her about her co-star Irrfan and she quips,Irrfan is one effortless actor,he goes into detailing,I always wanted to work with him. With this movie,I have accomplished my wish.

Irrfan,who was seen last year in Knockout,is excited to be a part of this film. Yeh Saali Zindagi will make you feel good. This is the kind of film that will be remembered for a long time. The story,the romance,in short,the entire experience is new.
