Did the fantastic response to your performance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai surprise you?
When director Milan Luthria offered me the film he mentioned the kind of response I would get. I was surprised when the first review stated exactly what he had said,that I had done exceptionally well! But no,I was not expecting it.

Were you sceptical when Milan narrated your role?
I did hem and haw initially,but when he told me to trust him,I decided to do so.

Did you in any way prepare yourself to play ACP Agnel Wilson?
A lot came from cops like D Sivanandan and Parambir Singh,who are my friends. The fit and hungry look I projected was because I was training for my role of a boxer in my forthcoming film,Bhiwani.

Which is your favourite scene from the film?
Its the one between Ajay Devgn and Kangna Ranaut where she asks him personal questions and he keeps saying pataa nahin.

How was it working with Milan?
Hes one of the coolest directors with whom I have worked. He’s calm and collected,somewhat like the characters in the film.

Which is your favourite gangster film?
Scarface tops the list. In Hindi films its D,Company and Dayavan.

Which director has the knack of making engaging gangster films?
Ram Gopal Varma and Prakash Jha,for sure. I think every director should make a film in this genre. They are very exciting.

Would you call Once… your comeback film?
I dont know about that,but yes,I had taken a two-year break and started concentrating on my horse-riding and theatre. I am so glad I did this film,its great to hear my phone ringing like it did after my film D released.

When is Rang Rasiya releasing?
I think the formalities are over and Ketan Mehta should announce a date soon. I am very eager that it releases. My character is a complete contrast to the one in Once…but very intriguing.

What are you looking forward to now?
Besides Rang Rasiya,there’s Khusar Prasad Ka Bhoot,and hopefully I should sign some new projects now. I am going through some good scripts.
