Tejashwi Yadav’s food choices have been at the centre of discussion throughout the Lok Sabha polls season this year, and he is back again, this time with a video of lunch with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Tejashwi’s fish meal video had sparked a political storm ahead of Navratri. This time round, however, he hosted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alongside other family and friends. In a conversation during the meal, Tejashwi said, “Rahul ji has now had mutton twice,” in a reference to the Champaran mutton that was made when the Congress leader met Bihar’s former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav.

In the video titled “What’s for lunch at the Yadav family”, Tejashwi is heard saying, “Sahani ji, your fish bones stuck in Modi-ji’s throat?”
Former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani was with Tejashwi in the pre-Navratri fish meal video that had stirred a row. In the banter that followed, Rahul went on to point out the way the BJP was wanting to take over and dictate personal choices of people, including what one would want to eat or wear.
The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter), concluded with a caption translating to: “Bharatiya Janata Party is being defeated by the people of India,” and credited to Rahul Gandhi.”
