Numerous spoof videos on prominent political leaders are doing the rounds online amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reshared his AI-generated video that showed him dancing.
Shared by an X handle @Atheist_Krishna, the AI-generated meme video shows PM Modi dressed in an orange waistcoat, and dancing to the tunes as the crowd cheers for him. PM Modi reshared the video and wrote, “Like all of you, I also enjoyed seeing myself dance. Such creativity in peak poll season is truly a delight! #PollHumour.”

Several X users also compared this to Mamata Banerjee’s AI-generated video in the comments on this post, after Kolkata Police directed a social media user, who shared a spoof video on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, to disclose their identity and warned of legal action. “You are directed to immediately disclose your identity including name and residence. If the information sought is not revealed, you shall be liable for legal action u/s 42 CrPC. Cyber PS, Lalbazar, Kolkata, Ph no: 033-22143000,” the Kolkata Police post on X read.

As Goa is set to vote in the third phase of polling in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024, the visuals of eco-friendly polling booths in the state posted by Election Commission of India on the social media site X have gone viral. “Shades of green at the polls: Glimpses of Green eco-friendly polling booths in #Goa,” ECI wrote in the post and encouraged voters to exercise their right and join the celebration of ‘Chunav ka Parv’.

Congress X handle posted a video today which parodies PM Modi’s recent interview with media channels. Pawan Khera, Chairman, Media and Publicity Department, AICC also addressed this in a press conference and said that PM Modi was interviewed recently where no questions were asked to him and all attempt were made to portray him as a great person. “It is very sad to see this condition of journalists,” Khera said.
