Punjab: 25 nominees file papers on Day 2

Twenty-five candidates from various political parties, including CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, filed their nominations for the February 4 state Assembly polls across the state on Thursday, according to information made available by the office of the state’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

The prominent candidates who filed nominations included Manpreet Singh Badal (Congress) from Bathinda Urban, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal from Jalalabad, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal (SAD) from Lambi, Hardeep Singh and Harjit Kaur (SAD) and Amrinder Singh Raja Warring (INC) from Gidderbaha, Manpreet Singh Ayali and Harkinder Singh (SAD) from Dakha, Bikram Singh Majithia (SAD) from Majitha and Harbhajan Singh (BSP) from Kharar.
