Navi Mumbai NMMC Election Result 2026, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Election Results 2026 LIVE Updates: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) manages the city’s complex infrastructure and urban planning. The NMMC elections will be held on January 15, 2026 and the results will be declared on January 16, 2026. There are 1,136,170 number of voters who will elect 28 ward members. NMMC has 28 wards across the city.

In the last NMMC election held in 2017, a total of 111 seats were contested in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The Nationalist Congress Party emerged as the leading party by winning 52 seats, while the Shivsena (SS) secured 38 seats, followed by the Indian National Congress with 10 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party with 6 seats, the Independents with 5 seats.

Earlier, the BJP swept to power in Maharashtra, underlining its dominance in state politics by emerging as the single-largest party in 129 out of 288 local bodies that went to polls in the first two phases. The ruling Mahayuti coalition crossed the 200 mark, with the Shiv Sena winning 51 local bodies and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) 33.

In contrast, the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) barely touched the 50 mark, with the Congress winning 35 and the Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) finishing with eight each.
