PAKISTAN will never get a better Prime Minister (for India) than Narendra Modi, said Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, as he spoke at a poll rally in South Goa.
Campaigning for candidate Elvis Gomes, Kejriwal targeted Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah and claimed that the “combination of Modi and Shah” is “dangerous to the idea of democracy and the Constitution”.
Pointing to the central government’s reaction to terror attacks in the last two years, Kejriwal accused Modi and Shah of “polarising the society”. “Pakistan will never get a better PM than Modi. He is poisoning India. What Pakistan could not do in 70 years, Modi and Shah said in five years by dividing Indian society,” he said.
Kejriwal also pointed to Shah’s campaign statement where he promised to implement the NRC in the entire country, removing “every single infiltrator from the country, except Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs”. He added, “For Shah, Christian, Muslim, Parsi, Jain is an infiltrator. He is saying it openly in poll rallies that barring three religions, all others will be removed from the country. This is a very dangerous statement.”
The CM said, “I want to ask Shah. Let us take the example of Goa. Goa has a population of 15 lakh, 28 per cent are Catholics and 11 per cent Muslims. How will Shah do it in Goa? Will he throw 6 lakh people in the sea, kill them, snatch their jobs, start riots? I want to ask Hindus. Do you want such a society where Hindus and Christians riot, or Hindus or Muslims riot? Will Goa progress? Don’t you want peace and raise your family and children? You want jobs, schools, colleges, roads, infrastructure? Shah is saying it openly that barring three religions, all others will be removed. Pakistan also wants this. This is Pakistan’s agenda and because of this Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan says vote for Modiji.”
He also warned that if the country elects Modi, then Shah as the new home minister will see mob lynchings across the country including Goa.
