Murarai (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Dr. Mosarraf Hossain of the AITC won the Murarai assembly seat, defeating Ali Hazrat (Sowdagar) (All India Secular Front), Banchharam Mal (SUCI(C)), Dipak Rabidas (BSP), Md. Ali Reza Mandal (Manik Master) (CPI(M)), Mosarraf (IND), Rinki Ghosh (BJP), Sajida Khatun (IND), Sanjibur Rahaman (Bappa) (INC), Sk Amirul Islam (IND), Tasir Sekh (All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Dr Mosarraf Hossain, Bharatiya Janta Party Debasish Roy, Indian National Congress Asif Ekbal and others. In the last Murarai Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Dr Mosarraf Hossain won by a margin of 98,246 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Debasish Roy was the runner up securing 48,250 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,51,210, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
