Maharashtra poll ballotin: Gadkari faints at poll rally

Union minister Nitin Gadkari Wednesday fainted during a poll rally at Pusad in Yavatmal-Washim. He was immediately provided medical help that enabled his recovery.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari Wednesday fainted during a poll rally at Pusad in Yavatmal-Washim. He was immediately provided medical help that enabled his recovery. Gadkari said that due to high temperatures and heat he felt uneasy. But after some time he was alright. He continued his scheduled poll campaign at Warora in district Amravati. Last year, there were three instances of Gadkari fainting. His close aide said that hectic schedule, coupled with rising temperatures led to his uneasiness.

Suspension after rebellion

Bajirao Khade, a former team member of Priyanka Gandhi from Kolhapur has been suspended from the party for six years. Khade wanted to contest the Lok Sabha polls but the party gave ticket to Shahu Maharaj Chhatrapati.  Khade chose to rebel and filed his nomination as an independent. Interestingly, when Khade had become part of Priyanka’s team, nobody in Kolhapur knew him and wondered how he reached that place.
