In the previous 2017 Zilla Parishad elections, a total of 58 seats were contested in the Latur Zilla Parishad. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party by winning 36 seats, while the Congress secured 15 seats. The Nationalist Congress Party won 5 seats, followed by the Shiv Sena with 1 seats and others.
