Himachal Pradesgh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s son and youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh, who is contesting the Assembly elections for the first time, is wealthier than his father, a six-time CM. In an affidavit Vikramaditya filed Monday along with his nomination from Shimla (rural), he has given details of his property worth Rs 84 crore, which include Rs 79.82 crore as immovable property including land and buildings at Rampur in Shimla.
The Chief Minister in his affidavit has shown total assets of Rs 30 crore, including include property in the name of his wife Pratibha Singh.
Interestingly, Vikramaditya Singh among the liabilities he has listed in the affidavit, he owes a loan of Rs 84 lakhs taken from one V C Shekhar -a businessman who had been in controversies for a hydel project he was allotted in Himachal Pradesh and unsecured loan which Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha Singh had taken from him earlier in 2009-10.
Total loan liability of Vikramaditya Singh is ,however,to the tune of Rs 1.34 crore.
Vikramaditya owns three vehicles, including a Ford Endeavour worth Rs 30 lakh and Mahindra XUV 500 worth Rs 14 lakh.
