Himachal Pradesh elections 2017: Sonia, Rahul star campaigners for Congress

The Congress has already released a list of all candidates and have given a ticket to Chief Minister’s son Vikramaditya Singh from Shimla (rural).

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi and former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh besides Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and former union minister Anand Sharma are among the 40 star campaigners named by the party for the upcoming assembly polls. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will also campaign in the state.

Apart from them, senior Congress leaders Ambika Soni, Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Uttrakhand CM Harish Rawat, former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot and Raj Babbar among others senior party leaders will also campaign for the party.

The BJP has also released its list of star campaigners with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at top of the list, besides party president Amit Shah, union ministers like Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Smriti Irani and chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states.
