Former chief minister Anandiben Patel, following the launch of BJP’s Maha Sampark Abhiyan on Tuesday, said the party will get an idea of the number of seats it is expected to win in Gujarat Assembly election after the six-day door-to-door campaign.
“In this year’s Assembly elections too, we have done micro planning. Each page pramukh has been given a list of 48 voters — roughly 12 families. Each worker will meet 12 families and answer to their queries… We are also finding out that in these 12 families how many are with the BJP or even with the Congress,” Anandiben said while addressing a press briefing at the party’s media centre in Ahmedabad. As part of this campaign, she too visited families in her Assembly constituency Ghatlodiya.
She explained that upon compilation of the data gathered through meeting with families, the page pramukhs will help to analyse the number of seats the party is expected to win.
