Gopiballavpur (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Rajesh Mahata of the BJP won the Gopiballavpur assembly seat, defeating Ajit Mahata (AITC), Ajit Mahato (IND), Bikash Sharangi (CPI), Bimal Pal (IND), Dharmapal Bisui (SUCI(C)), Kanailal Raut (IND), Sourav Ghosh (INC), Subhash Mahato (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Dr. Khagendra Nath Mahata, Bharatiya Janta Party Sanjit Mahata, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Prasanta Kumar Das and others. In the last Gopiballavpur Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Dr. Khagendra Nath Mahata won by a margin of 23,768 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Sanjit Mahata was the runner up securing 80,347 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,19,464, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
