Farakka (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Motab Shaikh of the INC won the Farakka assembly seat, defeating Abdul Kader (IND), Alok Kumar Mandal (IND), Amirul Islam (AITC), Azmerul Sk (Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party), Imtiaz Ahmed Mollah (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Mozaffar Hossain (CPI(M)), Nandalal Ghosh (IND), Shashanka Das (IND), Sulaiman Shaikh (IND), Sunil Chowdhuri (BJP), Tilottama Haldar (Bharatiya Nyay-Adhikar Raksha Party).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Manirul Islam, Bharatiya Janta Party Ghosh Hemanta, Indian National Congress Mainul Haque and others. In the last Farakka Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Manirul Islam won by a margin of 59,945 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Ghosh Hemanta was the runner up securing 42,374 votes.
