Durgapur Paschim (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Lakshman Chandra Ghorui of the BJP won the Durgapur Paschim assembly seat, defeating Avishek Roy (IND), Dhrubojyoti Mukherjee (IND), Gulnaj Khanam (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Kabi Dutta (AITC), Lakshan Bauri (IND), Prabhu Nath Sah (BSP), Pravash Sain (CPI(M)), Ramesh Murmu (IND), Somnath Banerjee (SUCI(C)), Souvik Bhattacharjee (IND), Subrata Bhowmik (Mera Bharat Mahan Party), Tapas Roy (IND), Tarun Roy (INC).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Lakshman Chandra Ghorui, All India Trinamool Congress Biswanath Parial, Indian National Congress Debesh Chakraborty and others. In the last Durgapur Paschim Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Lakshman Chandra Ghorui won by a margin of 14,664 votes. The All India Trinamool Congress’s Biswanath Parial was the runner up securing 76,522 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,56,650, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
