Basirhat Uttar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Md. Tauseffur Rahman of the AITC won the Basirhat Uttar assembly seat, defeating Ashikul Islam (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Kaushik Mondal (IND), Koushik Sidhartha (BJP), Md. Musa Karemulla (All India Secular Front), Mokaddas Hossain (IND), Musa Haque Mondal (INC), Rehena Rahaman (IND), Sahanur Mondal (IND), Subhasis Das (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Rafikul Islam Mondal, Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party Md Baijid Amin, Bharatiya Janta Party Narayan Chandra Mondal and others. In the last Basirhat Uttar Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Rafikul Islam Mondal won by a margin of 89,351 votes. The Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party’s Md Baijid Amin was the runner up securing 47,865 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,55,163, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
