Asansol Dakshin (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Agnimitra Paul of the BJP won the Asansol Dakshin assembly seat, defeating Anup Bhattacharya (SUCI(C)), Asgar Ali (IND), Bibekananda Sadhu (Amra Bangalee), Dipika Bauri (Bahujan Mukti Party), Silpi Chakraborty (CPI(M)), Souvik Mukherjee (INC), Tapas Banerjee (AITC).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Agnimitra Paul, All India Trinamool Congress Sayani Ghosh, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Prasanta Ghosh and others. In the last Asansol Dakshin Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Agnimitra Paul won by a margin of 4,487 votes. The All India Trinamool Congress’s Sayani Ghosh was the runner up securing 83,394 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,58,427, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
