The 2019 Lok Sabha elections are finally coming to an end, amidst a lot of talk of a ‘Hindu Rasthra’, and the opposition’s claim that the soul of India is under threat. Writer and human rights activist Harsh Mander, feels that “what is morally sound is also politically sound”. In this episode, Sandip talks to Mander about what it means to be secular in India in this political climate, and the importance of ‘fraternity’ in the face of violence and divisive politics.
