It’s been months since Shark Tank India wrapped up, but the craze around it fails to die down. ‘Sharks’ Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, and Vineeta Singh recently attended Aman Gupta’s daughter’s birthday in Delhi. Pictures from the party soon went viral on social media and fans called them ‘Family no 1’. Shark Tank India, based on the international franchise called Dragons’ Den, featured entrepreneurs presenting their business ideas to a panel of seven investors, who decided whether to shell out a sum for a stake in the company. After a stupendous inaugural season, Sony TV announced the next chapter in May, seeking pitches from budding entrepreneurs.
In other news, actor Neha Mehta, who played Anjali Mehta on the television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for 12 years, claimed that the producers are yet to clear pending dues for six months. Neha quit the show in 2020. Now, the makers of the serial, Neela Films Productions, have said in an official statement that they tried to get in touch with the actor “multiple times to complete the formalities”, but she has been “reluctant to sign the exit documents.” Neha recently stated that she doesn’t like complaining publicly, but given that it’s her hard-earned money that’s on the line, she hopes the makers would clear her dues.

Talking about venturing into the industry, and leaving behind her dream of becoming a criminologist, she said, “Until the time I was 17-18 years, I didn’t want to act. It wasn’t my plan at all as I was studying to become a criminologist. You read a lot of things at that age and try to figure out things. This was when I assisted directors on two sets, and I realized this is what I want to do”.
