Certain sports in India tend to thrive in certain pockets. Right now, football is dominated by the north-east (earlier it was Bengal), hockey is dominated by Punjab and wrestling by Haryana. If we were to look at the competitive events in these sports, we’ll find this trend reflected there as well. Like almost all major Indian wrestlers at the moment are from the state up north. In this episode of Express Sports’ Trend-spotting, Daksh Panwar and Mihir Vasavda tackle these question and analyze if this negatively impacts the sport in anyway.
