The February 24-28 day-night India-England Test is scheduled to take place at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad – the world’s biggest cricket stadium. The stadium has the capacity of 1,10,000, and its complex has two practice grounds with nine pitches, and another 11 on the central square. But this impressive stadium also has an intriguing political history which spawned its birth.
