Suicide bombing kills 2 soldiers in Pakistan

Little known group,Ansarul Mujahideen,has claimed responsibility for the attack.

At least two security personnel were killed and seven others injured in a suicide attack on a checkpost in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region on Wednesday.

A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the Shawa checkpost situated on the Bannu-Mir Ali Road in North Waziristan,military sources said.

Following the attack,security personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

A little known group,Ansarul Mujahideen,has claimed responsibility for the attack,media reports said.

The area is a stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban,which has lose links to the al-Qaeda.

The region also comes under attacks from US drones that often targets militant hideouts in the area.

Meanwhile,at least four militants were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces in Swabi district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the District Police Officer (DPO),twelve militants attacked the Natian police checkpost in Swabi.

Security personnel repulsed the attack and during an exchange of fire between the two sides,four militants were killed,media reports said.

Swabi is the hometown of the new deputy of Pakistani Taliban,Khalid Haqqani.
