Pakistan cancels visit by pilgrims to Delhi

The pilgrims were asked not to move to Lahore for travelling to India.

Pakistan has cancelled the participation of its citizens in the annual ‘urs’ of Hazrat Amir Khusro in Delhi for security reasons,officials said on Wednesday.

The Foreign Ministry announced that the visit of Pakistani ‘zaireen’ (pilgrims) to the festival in Delhi during August 22-29 had been cancelled for security reasons.

The pilgrims were asked not to move to Lahore for travelling to India. Earlier,the Ministry of Religious Affairs had asked the pilgrims to assemble in Lahore.
