(Photo: X/ @USMiniTru) House Democrats on Wednesday released photos and videos from deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean which offered a rare insight into the secretive place where it is alleged that Epstein used to traffic young girls, The Guardian reported. Locals in the area call it “paedophile island” while Epstein referred to it as “Little St Jeff’s”.
To the world, the island is known as Little Saint James Island, one of the two islands formerly owned by Jeffrey Epstein and is now commonly referred to as “Epstein Island”. According to lawyers of the accusers, the island was allegedly the site of many crimes committed against young girls. Over 150 photos and videos of Epstein’s home, including bedrooms, a telephone, office, library among others were released by House Democrats.

The two islands formerly owned by Epstein are Little Saint James and Great Saint James which are situated side by side in the Caribbean and can only be accessed via private helicopters or boats. According to ABC News, Epstein would board a private plane from the US which would fly him to St Thomas’ international airport, where he would board a helicopter which would fly him to the two islands.
Little Saint James island, which is about 28 hectares in size, was bought by a company named LSJ in 1998 for around $8 million and the documents later revealed that Epstein was the only member of the company.
Great Saint James island, which is about 67 hectares in size, was bought by Epstein 2016 for about $23 million. Both the islands were frequently visited by Epstein and locals alleged that the connected sex offender transported underage girls to the islands.
Virginia Giuffre, one of the most vocal accusers of Epstein and an advocate for survivors of sex trafficking, claimed that former prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor allegedly raped her on Little Saint James island. However, Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell told a US government deposition that she was on the island when former prince Andrew visited, but “there were no girls on the island at that time.”
Locals have alleged that Epstein made little effort to hide young girls travelling with him to the islands and after his death in 2019, two employees from the airstrip on neighbouring St Thomas island told Vanity Fair they reportedly saw Epstein boarding planes with young girls.
The US Virgin Islands filed a case against Epstein’s estate after the sex offender’s death and alleged that Epstein raped and trafficked dozens of young women and girls to his island.
