In a bizarre twist of life imitating art, the American animated sitcom ‘The Simpsons’ seems to have once again foreseen future events, this time involving Vice President Kamala Harris.
Show screenwriter Al Jean posted about the “prediction” on social media X, shortly after Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the US presidential race.

In the episode titled ‘Bart to the Future,’ which aired over two decades ago, the character Lisa Simpson is depicted as president of the United States in the year 2030.
What’s catching everyone’s attention now is not just the prediction of a female president succeeding Donald Trump, but also Lisa’s choice of attire—a purple suit and pearls!
Coincidentally, during her inauguration as vice president, Kamala Harris sported a remarkably similar outfit.

Al Jean, in his post, which included side-by-side images of Lisa and Harris in their identical attire, quickly caught attention and sparked discussions about the show’s uncanny ability to foresee real-life scenarios.
Social media erupted with comments over the weekend, with some users marveling at the sitcom continuing to be prophetic, while others found it coincidental.
“Well yeah but… what if she doesn’t win?” one user commented. “Where’s the turtleneck?” wrote another. “Lisa came after Trump,” commented yet another person.
Dan Greaney, who wrote the predictive episode, described it in a 2016 interview as a “warning to America.” The episode humorously portrays Lisa inheriting significant challenges from Donald Trump.
This isn’t the first time the show has made close-to-reality predictions—previous instances include foreseeing everything from celebrity actions to technological advancements and major global events, including Trump’s 2016 presidential win.
