A senior official in Pokrovsk, an eastern Ukrainian city seen as a key target in the westward push of Russian forces, has called on residents to evacuate, warning that essential services can no longer be provided, according to a report by RBK Ukraine.

Serhiy Dobrak, head of Pokrovsk’s military administration, stressed the urgency of the situation. “It is already clear that there will be no heating in the city,” he told RBK.

Dobrak advised residents to leave immediately if they noticed anti-tank defences, known as dragon’s teeth, being installed nearby. “Do not delay, pack up and leave. It will be dangerous,” he cautioned.
