Polls suggest Labour’s Keir Starmer to trump Rishi Sunak, ‘Farage effect’ on UK election
Data suggests that Labour Party leader Keir Starmer is poised to become the Prime Minister in the upcoming election and would continue on the post for another term as well.

In the run-up to the United Kingdom parliamentary elections on July 4, the ruling Conservative party is shown to be struggling behind the Labour Party with polls suggesting a growing lead for the latter.
In a poll conducted by Redfield and Wilton for The Independent, the startling outcome shows that Labour Party leader Keir Starmer is poised to become the Prime Minister in the upcoming election and would continue on the post for another term as well. The data suggests that 45 per cent of all the voters believe Starmer will continue as Prime Minister till 2034, which indicates that he will be re-elected as the PM in the 2029 parliamentary elections again.

Further, polls have indicated a surge for the newest entrant Nigel Farage, who is the leader of the Reform UK party and has announced that he will be contesting the upcoming polls.
A poll by Techne UK for The Independent has revealed that “Farage effect” is visible on the UK election and his party has received a three-point surge, from 12 to 15, since he announced his candidature.
Techne UK’s poll also revealed that since the TV debate of UK Prime Minister and Conservatives leader Rishi Sunak and Labour Party leader Keir Starmer aired on Tuesday night, both the respective parties have lost one point each in support base and currently stand at 44 and 20 respectively.
According to BBC, the Reform UK party led by Nigel Farage is leading with 17 per cent support base, as per the YouGov poll.
The gap between the Conservatives and the Labour Party, which is well above 20 points, is bound to widen as Farage has a considerable support base and will cut in the Conservatives support and incumbent Rishi Sunak will need to look for other means in order to lead in the race.
