The 42-year-old princess traveled with her children George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and 6-year-old Louis. Prince William rode on horseback for the ceremony alongside troops in full-color uniforms.

Kate watched the ceremony with her children from a window overlooking the Horse Guards Parade, a ceremonial ground in central London.

Later, the Princess of Wales joined other senior royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Prince Edward and his family on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the fly-past, which concludes the Trooping the Colour procession.

In a rare message on Friday, Kate shared that she was making “good progress” in her preventative chemotherapy, which was publicly disclosed in March. She expressed gratitude, saying she was “blown away” by the thousands of kind messages from around the world following her cancer diagnosis.

In January, Kate spent two weeks in the hospital after undergoing major abdominal surgery. Two months later, she announced in a video message that tests had revealed the presence of cancer and that she would begin preventative chemotherapy. Kensington Palace has not provided further details about the type of cancer or her treatment, other than stating that the preventative chemotherapy began in February.
