Indian student shot dead at Ohio fuel station; suspect at large

An Indian student,  who would have graduated with a Master’s degree in a few days, was shot dead in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, local media reported.

The 24-year-old Saiesh Veera, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, was shot at on Thursday early in the morning during a robbery attempt at the gas station he worked in, reported local NBC4 television network.

According to the report, the Columbus Police received a call at 12.50 am local time informing them that an employee of a Shell gas station at 1000 West Broad Street in Franklinton was shot during an attempted robbery. Though Saiesh was taken to a hospital in critical condition, he did not survive and was pronounced dead at 1.27 am local time.
