The radical Islamic State Group has devised another gruesome way of slaughtering captives and apostates, according to The Independent. In a graphic video released by the militant group, captives are reportedly shown kneeling on landmines buried under the earth and militants detonating the bombs one after the other. As soon as the prisoners are lined-up and ready to be detonated, the militants run for cover.

According the The New York Daily News, the prisoners were allegedly killed for apostasy and abandoning Islam, a standard charge for anyone who disagrees with the group’s ideology. The well-choreographed video was purportedly shot in an unknown location in Afghanistan amid fluttering IS flags and shows militants with black face masks digging up earth and placing explosives. The prisoners are then asked to confess to their crimes before they are blown up. Ever since the group came into existence, they have earned a notorious reputation of orchestrating and choreographing meticulous high-definition footage of their mass murders as a means to provoke the International community.
