Russia: Agreement to promote country as popular destination in India signed

India-based Russian Information Center has signed an agreement with Russia-based Visit Russia and other organisations to develop a 'India-friendly policy' to attract more tourists from India.

An agreement to promote Russia as a popular tourism destination in the Indian market has been signed in St. Petersburg. “The agreement will enable the parties to effectively coordinate the activities to promote Russia as a popular destination in the Indian market,” Russian Information Center (RIC) co-founder Katerina Belyakova said.

India-based Russian Information Center has signed an agreement with Russia-based Visit Russia and other organisations to develop a ‘India-friendly policy’ to attract more tourists from India.

The other signatories of the ‘India-friendly policy’ agreement, signed in St Petersburg, include the Russian Union of Travel Industry, National Centre for Marketing Tourism, Union of National and International Tourist Information Organisations of Russia and St Petersburg State University of Economics.
