Bank Holidays in India May 2024: Bank customers should be prepared for approximately 10 non-working days at their banks in May 2024 because of religious holidays and weekend closures, as national banks will observe 13 non-working days, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays off.

The holiday schedule for banks is determined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in conjunction with state governments, in addition to regional holidays which may differ based on the customs of individual states and account of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024.

It is important to note that, tomorrow, May 1, 2024, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday schedule, banking operations will be suspended in major cities in observance of May Day.

Despite these closures, online banking services will continue to operate seamlessly throughout all bank holidays and weekends. Customers can conveniently conduct their banking activities via the banks’ websites, mobile apps, or ATMs for urgent transactions. However, for tasks requiring assistance from bank staff, it is advisable to be mindful of the bank holiday calendar and plan visits accordingly.
