India Weather Today: Parts of India to get moderate rainfall; hot and humid conditions to prevail in Bengal, Odisha

Parts of India will experience scattered to widespread, light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over the next five days, a forecast released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated Tuesday.

The wet weather conditions will be accompanied by thundersquall, hailstorm, and duststorm in various parts of the country.

Although the IMD predicted no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next two days, they might fall gradually by 3-5 degrees Celsius over the next 4-5 days in parts of West India. Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha between May 8 and 11.
