Watch: How this pilot faked a mid-air emergency to propose to his girlfriend

This couple is totally ready to take on any turmoil in the future if this video is anything to go by.

Starting this year of crazy proposals captured and shared on social media, Maynard Ogot decided to take his love to dizzying heights by proposing to his girlfriend mid-air — but that’s not before getting her heart racing (and not in a good way) first.

Faking an emergency mid-air in a two-seater plane, Ogot asks his girlfriend/co-pilot to read out a manual for tackling emergency procedures in-flight. With a straight face and steely resolve, she does all that’s instructed (much to her credit), only to be left teary-eyed and emotional at the end, as Ogot pulls out a ring and proposes to her.

While Ogot’s fiancée reads out the emergency procedure after a radio communication, and he says, “I’ve done this before”, it is commendable to see a look of complete faith in him on her face as she takes charge of helping him into navigating the touchdown safely. It’s almost symbolic of her being by his side during future crises. Full marks to Ogot for not losing the ring mid-air, and, of course, the Snitch ring.
