A woman protester was pleasantly surprised when she was offered a hug by members of the Muslim community despite her carrying anti-Islam placards outside the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The woman who was identified as Annie showed up as a part of a protest that was scheduled in front of the mosque. Apparently, no one except her turned up. But the mosque’s leader called for counter-protesters and police in case of a potential threat. She was given a hug by a counter-protester who said, “I am a Muslim, can I hug you.”
In the video uploaded by Al-Jazeera, the woman can be heard saying “If you’re Muslim, we can’t be friends, My Bible says that.” By the end of the video, Annie could be seen walking inside the mosque.
