It is that time of the year again when rooms are being cleaned, sweets are being distributed and friends and relatives are gearing up to celebrate Diwali. The festival is celebrated over a period of five days and each day has a significance. It begins with Dhanteras and concludes with Bhai Dooj, with – of course – the Diwali bonus in between. Although we do what these days mean, theoretically speaking, for most of us they mean different things. So have you ever wondered what an honest interpretation of these days would sound like? Folks at East India Comedy, a group of Indian stand-up comedians, thought that out and presented it in the form of jingles and the result is absolutely hilarious. And in case you are curious about the lyrics, sample this-

“The fifth day of Diwali is known as Bhau Bheej
It’s like Rakshan Bandhan
But inverted
Girls give boys gift
Boys feel happy
Because there is no rakhi”
