Last month Y- Films, youth wing of Yash Raj Films collaborated with Sonu Nigam and launched India’s first transgender band called 6-Pack Band which was very well recieved and appreciated by the country. Their first song ‘Hum Hain Happy’ was a hit with over 1 million views and their second song released recently called ‘Sab Rab De Bande’ is striking a cord with many.

The video of the song tells a compelling story, reflective of a deeply rooted mindset; lack of acceptance and discrimination but it ends on a positive note depicting hope and change.

In an interview, Sonu Nigam said that he always wanted to do something for the third gender and with this initiative, he got an opportunity. “Things are changing now. And instead of preaching or moving around with a flag, it’s about working with them. We have worked with them and made them business partners, that’s how they can progress,” he said.
