There is no denying the fact that India has the most unsafe roads and highways going by the data revealed by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Over 400 people die because of road accidents every day. In another shocking accident, a man riding a scooter collided with a car and flew across the road.
According to Manorama News, the CCTV footage shows the man named Harishankar riding a scooter and trying to cross the road when a high speeding car hit the scooter on the highway. Reportedly, he was coming from Kalpetta in Wayanad district. Reportedly, the man flung 20 meters away at a height of 5 feet and is now under treatment at a hospital.
Also, as the driver lost control of the car, it hit a tipper lorry which in turn hit an autorickshaw which is not visible in the CCTV footage captured on the camera of a restaurant on the highway.
According to the data revealed by the ministry, 1,46,133 people were killed in road accidents in India in 2015, 1,39,671 people were killed in 2014 and over 1.3 million people in the last decade. Kerala is among the states which are reported to have recorded most number of road accidents. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka are also in the list.
Remains of the scooter are nowhere to be found.
