Snakes have been discovered in the oddest of urban settings, from toilets to even refrigerators, and recently, one hitchhiked a ride on a super-fast train in Uttarakhand. A 10-foot King Cobra was found coiled above the wagon wheels near the door of the compartment. However, thanks to the prompt response from the rescue teams, all the passengers were unharmed.
In a joint rescue operation by the Uttarakhand Forest Department and RPF, the cobra was safely removed from the locomotive when it stopped at the Kathgodam Station.
A video of the operation was shared online by Dr PM Dhakate, a Field Forester with the Uttarakhand Forest Department, in which two forest personnel carefully putting the snake into a crate.
