The term “catwalk” got a new meaning at a fashion show in Turkey when a real cat literally hit the ramp. Well, no, the feline wasn’t a model invited on the stage to showcase new designs but was an intruder who couldn’t care less and sat there amid passing models, doing its own business. The incident happened in the Esmod International Fashion Show, held this week in Istanbul and the audience was more excited over the little animal’s act than the haute couture.
The video was uploaded on Instagram and has left people around the globe in splits. While in the beginning the furry animal is seen licking its paws and tails and basking in the limelight, it couldn’t hold that for long as it began to draw attention by walking down the ramp with much elan and poise!
“Everybody was in shock,” fashion designer Göksen Hakkı Ali told The Dodo. It’s unclear how the animal made it to the stage but the audience surely didn’t mind and had a good laugh about it.
