Remember the time Chris Evans hung on to the terrace (and the chopper) for dear life in Captain America: Civil War? (We’re not talking about his rippling biceps, but the sheer dare-devilry of it all.) Or the fantastic fight sequences between Team Stark and Team Capt America?
As amazing as they look on 3D and INOX screens, ever wondered what actually goes on in reality — at the sets where these nature-defying action scenes were shot? It’s usually a tangle of light props and harnesses that are meticulously replaced and/or enhanced later with computer generated imagery (CGI).
Now, imagine watching all those scenes in original — the lights, strings and giant green screens in all their un-glory. What that results in is actually a series of hilarious scenes that would not only leave you in splits (imagine Black Panther jumping off a table instead of a supercool bike during the chase sequence!) but also amazed at the transformation these movies go through at the editing table.
In this video capturing scenes from the making of Captain America: Civil War, the Marvel superheroes do the extraordinary stunts in ordinary backgrounds and attack their nemesis — and each other with light blows and react to imagined forces.

While it certainly makes you appreciate the actors’ acting capabilities and Hollywood’s production values, there are portions where they do look comical doing stun sequences without the inclusion of CGI.
