In her Budget 2024 speech, Sitharaman announced the Centre has earmarked Rs 26,000 crore for various road projects in Bihar. “On the Amritsar-Kolkata industrial corridor, we will support the development of an industrial nod at Gaya in Bihar,” she said.

She also announced that the Vishnupad Temple in Gaya and Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya will be supported and transformed into world-class heritage on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

For Andhra Pradesh, the Union finance minister also announced financial help for the early completion of the Polavaram irrigation project. She also announced additional allocation for capital investment on the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor and the Hyderabad-Chennai Industrial Corridor which partially covers Andhra Pradesh.
