Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel’s Gadar 2 has become the second-highest Bollywood opener of this year after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. The film is set 17 years after the first film, against the backdrop of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Now a crisp but hilarious review of Gadar 2 is raking in likes on Instagram. Standup comedian Sanchit Pulani describes the film as a “good” movie and then pokes fun at its recall value and exaggerated action scenes.

Referring to the iconic scenes from the franchise in which Deol’s character first uproots a hand pump in the prequel, and later he arms himself with an electricity pole in the sequel, Pulani jokes that now Pakistan not only suffers from a water crisis but also an electricity crisis.

He also jests that Pakistanis must be telling Tara Singh not to send his grandson to their country for ‘Gadar 3’.

He concludes the video by saying that India has now won five wars against Pakistan, the first three were won by the Indian Army and the next two were won by Tara Singh. This video has over 1,400 likes so far since being posted on Independence Day.

Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “Gadar 2 will earn more in India than Pakistan’s GDP”. Last week, a video, reportedly taken in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, went viral that showed people arriving at cinema halls in trucks and tractors that were decorated with posters of Gadar 2.
