After days of teasing the audience with the look of the actors, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Padmavati trailer is finally out. Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, the film has generated a lot of buzz already and people can’t wait for it to hit the screens. Though the film has been mired in controversy, the look of the leading actors have been extremely well-received by people on social media. The trailer of the film too has left users on Twitter stunned with its epic scale, and praises for it are pouring in from all corners.

But as is common knowledge now, the ever creative tweeple of Twitterverse just need a trigger to get punning, and – as it turns out – there was enough fodder in the latest Padmavati trailer. From commenting on hairstyles, which a user feels “is out of control in Padmavati”, to comparing Singh to Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, Twitterati are having a field day.

Earlier fans had loved Padukone and Singh’s look from the film. Singh is portraying the role of Alauddin Khilji in the film and his menacing look had impressed people on social media a great deal. While some had said the look was “insane” there were others who were stunned. The impressive trailer, notwithstanding the memes only increases the anticipation for the film.
