As Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s fans have been eagerly waiting for their wedding photos online, Rajasthan police used a dialogue from Padukone’s debut film to convey an important message. As the Bajirao Mastani stars exchanged vows at a private ceremony in Italy’s picturesque Lake Como on Wednesday, people in India have been going crazy. Using a popular dialogue of Deepika Padukone from Om Shanti On, the police urged people to cast their vote.
Reminding citizens the importance of voting as the state is going to polls later next month, the social media team of the police referred to Padukone’s famous line from the film – “Ek chutki sindoor ki kimat tum kya jano”. Telling people that Ramesh Babu may or may not know the value of sindoor but voters know the value of one vote.
Sharing a photo of the Padmaavat star, they wrote, “Ek chutki sindoor aur vote, dono ki kimat jante hai hum (We know the value of both — a pinch of sindur and vote”.
याद है #OmShantiOm का वो एक चुटकी वाला dialogue?
