Watch: Pune woman falls into 100-foot deep gorge while clicking selfie, video of her rescue goes viral

Nasreen, 29, fell into a 100-foot deep gorge while clicking selfies in Maharashtra’s Satara. Hailing from Pune, the woman had come to the Borne Ghat with her friends near Thoseghar waterfalls, reported the Times of India. The incident happened Saturday evening.

In a viral video, a home guard can be seen rescuing the terrified woman. Towards the end of the video, a few mountaineers can be seen pulling her safety. Sharing the video on X, journalist Atul Singh wrote, “A sensational video of the rescue of a woman who fell into the Borne Ghat of Unghar Road has surfaced.. While taking a selfie, the woman’s foot slipped and she fell into the ghat. She who fell into the 100-foot-deep ghat was rescued with a rope. Incident of 3 August evening.”

According to reports, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital and is stable now.

In June, a woman lost her life after her car fell into a 300-foot deep gorge while her friend was filming her. The incident took place near the Dutt Dham Temple hill.

In July, Aanvi Kamdar, 27, an influencer from Mumbai, lost her life after falling into a 300-foot gorge near the popular Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Kamdar was on a trip to the waterfall with seven friends on July 16. The outing went haywire around 10.30 am when she slipped into a deep crevice while recording a video.
