Social media users take great pleasure these days in creating memes on pop culture. Expert Photoshop users often engage in ragging Photoshop battles on Reddit threads. For novice users, most take solace in using their wit and take the easy route — captioning images.
Remember the photo caption contest with the picture of all the Opposition leaders together? Well, Indian Twitterati literally had a field day with it. Or the viral picture of PM Modi on one side along with all the leaders on other; people just could not stop the game and we must say the results were hilarious on all the occasions.
Well, given the current scenario we all need some comic relief from the demonetisation woes and its impact. Since the move was announced last month there have been a series of spoof videos, memes, trolling and obviously many serious discussions. And we must say the creative quotient has been pretty high.

The move has also led to disruption of the Parliament at the ongoing Winter Session. With the House barely functioning, President Pranab Mukherjee criticised the parliamentarians and urged them to do their job properly.
As the Parliament logjam entered into its third week, President Mukherjee said that the continuous disruption of House proceeding was “not acceptable”. Saying that he has no intention of accusing any individual, the President said that parliamentary freedom should not be misused by causing disruptions.
He was speaking at the fourth Defence Estates Day lecture on the topic of “Electoral Reforms for Stronger Democracy at DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday, where Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar was also present. From the pictures released by the Rashtrapati Bhawan, this particular image of the two engaged in a close conversation caught our eye, and we thought of running a photo caption contest. Here are some of the funny and witty ones that we liked.
From ‘Sanam Gupta bewafa hai’ to liquor jokes — the jokes did not stop there.
