Arnab Goswami, the ‘most popular’ news anchor on Indian television, is known for his bombastic voice and catchphrase while asking people what “the nation wants to know”. So, on June 27, when the journalist interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it came as quite a shock for all when the otherwise rambunctious anchor was rather mellow during the session that lasted for over an hour.

The two spoke on a range of issues ranging from the government’s achievements to foreign policy to economy, but interview has drawn much critique from across platforms on how Arnab was not wearing his usual armour in front of the PM and the interview felt more like ‘Mann Ki Baat’ than ‘Frankly Speaking With Arnab’.
